What is your background and how did you get started in bodybuilding?
I’m a personal trainer and sports therapy specialist (Just Active). Fitness and sport has been my life. I knew a few people competing in shows and though I could be that person and haven’t looked back since.
Why do you love bodybuilding?
I love it because you are always pushing yourself to better yourself, become bigger and leaner for shows. Bodybuilding gives you a visible goal, one you have to work hard for especially competing in shows.
If you have to pick only 3 exercises, what would they be and why?
Cable woodchops – there are great all body exercise. Works your stability muscles around your hips and focuses on the oblique’s, working the shoulders too. Great core exercise.
KettleBell swing – Kettlebells are great for strength, tone and cardio, an all in one exercise. Works the lower back, gluts and core.
Abb role outs. Again a total body exercise, working your shoulders, back and abbs. Great muscular core strength.
What’s the best training tip you could give to others?
Work on your tempo. Slow down your rep range to put constant contraction on the muscles.
What are your favourite meals and foods?
I love my almond butter/peanut butter on rice cakes for a snack and you can’t beat a med/rare steak!

Only take Creatine and whey protein
How do you stay motivated?
A good gym partner to push you and have the same goals and interests as myself and competing in shows. A mind coach from my Company Just Active.
What shows have you got coming up, where can we see you compete?
BNBP in England or Scotland in June, don’t know where yet and UKBFF in the Waterfront in Belfast in August
