Lesley-Ann is a personal trainer by profession and an all round fitness fanatic always striving to perfect her already impressive figure. We caught up with this busy lady this week and asked her a few questions...

What is your background and how did you get started in bodybuilding? I always loved sports but really started resistance training about 5 years ago when I became a personal trainer.  I wanted the figure that was strong and healthy for women and this then lead onto me taking part in my first competition in 2010!

Why do you love bodybuilding? I love the challenge of sculpting your body, having goals and aspirations to achieve something that you do all by yourself!  It’s a lifestyle habit and its tough but very rewarding and has made me mentally as well as physically stronger.  My confidence has grown also and I have a positive body image.

If you have to pick only 3 exercises, what would they be and why? Walking hill lunges, shoulder press and chin ups.  I love these exercises and they really can change your body shape you just can’t not do them!

What’s the best training tip you could give to others? Proper form and technique is key to changing your body shape so forget about the ego training when doing weights!

What are your favorite meals and foods? I love porridge, greek yogurt, peanut butter and chicken.   All healthy foods Iike prawns and smoked fish too.  I really enjoy eating plain and clean I don’t miss take aways one bit.

Favourite cheat food? If its going to be anything its gotta be Krispy Kreme donuts!

Top 3 supplements you could not live without? BCAA’s, chocolate whey and l glutamine

How do you stay motivated? I keep challenging myself to new training programmes to see if they work.  There is always new ideas so it’s hard to get bored!  You can always get better so there is always room for improvement too!  I enjoy seeing the changes new exercises has on my body and I can pass this onto clients too.

What shows have you got coming up, where can we see you compete? I just gained my WBFF Pro card so my next show will be the WBFF Worlds Las Vegas 2015 Figure Pro show!

Who are your favourite bodybuilders and idols? I don’t really have any idols to be honest, I am always striving to be better than myself and that is what I inspire towards : )
